The 12 years I lived in Copacabana were crucial in consolidating my Copacabana Ilustrada Project.
Several ladies lived in my building who later became very good friends, among them Gilda and Dona Indaiá.
They became my models for several paintings, especially Gilda, who was very funny and always told hilarious stories about her life. Copacabana is a peculiar neighborhood, and nothing compares to it.
I miss Gilda.

Sunrise in Leme
One day I woke up at 4 in the morning and, since I lived just a few meters from Avenida Atlântica, I walked to the beach to watch the sunrise at Pedra do Leme. A spectacle of nature.
